Today’s Reading:
LUKE 2: 40-52
"And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" (v. 49)
Very important and crucial now to Put God's business first in all we do, that is, the business of the Gospel that our heavenly father has committed into our hands. Our Lord Jesus did not waste time in Worldliness, He did not involve in frivolity. Jesus said as long as it is day, we must do the work of him that sent us as the night is coming when no man can work. The night is going to come in our life when the vigour would have waned even though we want to do more. It's the quality of life, not the length that matters. Our Lord Jesus only had 33 years and it ended on the cross with "it is finished". The work, the purpose of his coming to Earth ended with satisfaction. Same with Apostle Paul, who said I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. (2Tim.4:7.)
The Bible says redeem the time because the days are evil. And the days in which we are living are very evil. It is so glaring when we look around us. If there was ever a time for the Gospel, that can transform the human heart, it is now! Is there a quality to the work the Master committed into your hands? Is there a dedication to the work? These are questions we need to be asking ourselves constantly.
How lovely and great would it be if we use the same vigour for seeking wealth in Evangelising for the Gospel. We need men and women who have genuine zeal for lost souls. Let us realise the urgency of the time, invest our time in the kingdom of God. Many souls are perishing, we must as a matter of urgency, be about our Father's business. The grace and enablement we need to do this, the Lord shall grant to us in Jesus mighty name. Do not be tired, do not be discouraged. He cares for you.
God bless!
