Today's Reading:
Matthew 12:11-12
"And He said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days."
Wisdom is the principal thing and the Bible admonishes us not to sell it. Wisdom is the proper application of knowledge, wisdom is the Divine endowment to man, that makes one outstanding amongst his/ her equals, Wisdom is that supernatural gift of God that makes you overcome all circumstances. Jesus, in most of His dealings with the Pharisees and the scribes, wisdom is one of the potent weapons He uses to silence them. An example of that is the reply He gave to them concerning their challenge over His healing of the sick on the Sabbath day according to our working passage. As men and women of God, to succeed and mesmerize all our enemies and be able to lead a troubled free life, we need Divine wisdom. King Solomon requested it; hence, he was able to settle the case that came between the two harlots over the motherhood of a baby that was exchanged for the dead baby without anyone taking offence against him. As believers, it is the wisdom of God that we need to overcome the wickedness of this world. The wisdom of God can come upon us when we are of pure hearts and holy living. The wisdom of God will never land on a polluted life. Therefore, let us seek for purity and holy living.
