Today's Readings:
Psalm 51:10
Psalm 73:1
Exodus 20:1-17
"Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart".
A clean heart is a heart without blemish, stain, dirt, that which is pure and upright before the Almighty God. The Psalmist, in one of his requests from God in Psalm 51 verse 10, is "create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right Spirit within me". He discovered that, to live a righteous life before the Almighty God, he needs a clean heart, that is clear of dirtiness, a heart that is devoid of malice, unforgiveness, stealing, lying, fornication and adultery, evil thoughts and so on.
Beloved, whatever action a man carries out is always been orchestrated from the heart, hence the Bible says, as a man thinketh so he is. To be in the good book of the Lord, our hearts need to be clean and purified by His precious Blood. When our hearts are pure without blemish, then we can put the enemies in their place where they belong, destroy their evil work against us, be in right standing with God, get our rightful portions from Him, right standing with God and make heaven as our eternity.
