Today's Reading:

Psalm 84:11

"For the LORD God is a Sun and a Shield: the LORD will give grace and glory:' no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly. "                                 (v. 11)

Analytically, here the Bible describes our God as a Sun and a Shield, meaning that He is our Light and Protection and that He gives grace and glory. Grace is an unmerited favour from God, a gift from Him without condition. The glory is the reason for our existence, our blueprint of being here on earth to showcase His goodness for our existence. Uprightness is what can make us enjoy all that is mentioned above. Being upright means we become obedient and do His will at all times, be in the right standing with Him, purity and holiness within and without.  With UPRIGHTNESS, as our watchword, nothing good shall He withhold from us and heaven shall be our gain.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud:

Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I believe and surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart, keep me from all evil, and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank You, Lord!

If you said the above short prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and report to the resident reverend, pastor or priest, as the case may be.

Prayer:

  1. Power to be in right standing with my God I am available, fall upon me now in the name of Jesus.

  2. Fresh Fire from the throne of grace to do exploits for the Lord, fall upon me now in the name of Jesus.

  3. The circle of darkness around my life disappeared in the name of Jesus.

  4. Protection of the Almighty God, avail for me now in the name of Jesus.

  5. Oh God arise and defend your interest in my life in the name of Jesus.
