STOP CARRYING GOD, LET THE LIVING GOD CARRY YOU

Today’s Reading:

Jeremiah 10:1–16

“They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do.”   (Jeremiah 10:5)

Jeremiah exposes the foolishness of idols. They are man-made, powerless, and lifeless. Idols must be carried because they cannot move, help, or save. But the true and living God is the One who carries His people (Isaiah 46:3–4). Are you carrying lifeless gods, or is the Living God carrying you? Craftsmen cut trees, decorate them with silver and gold, but the result is lifeless. God is living, everlasting and Creator of heaven and earth. His power controls rain, wind, thunder, and lightning; nature obeys His voice. His power is unsearchable, His greatness incomparable, no man or idol can withstand his wisdom. Heavens declare His glory, day by day declare His works. Jordan saw Him and fled; mountains skip like a ram. Trees of the field bow to Him. Stop looking for safety in idols; they are useless.


Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Don’t allow anyone to scare you with evil belts, gouge or cowry shells; they are all the handiworks of men. You are not alone; God is the One carrying you. Let this sink into you. With this understanding, you will never subject yourself to devilish, archaic or traditional ideology that will perpetually put you into bondage. Some have been caged today with rules or laws of dos and don’ts that are unscriptural. You were bought at a price. Blood was used to seal your destiny in Christ. No more sacrifice, Jesus paid it all. Your life is hidden in Christ. You are seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above principalities and powers. Do you know that you are not ordinary because the creator of heaven and the earth is the one carrying you? You have been engraved in His palm. No demon, herbalist, devil, powers in heaven, on earth or under the earth can stop you from fulfilling your purpose, for Jesus has overcome in the three dimensions (Philippians 2:10-11).


Hallelujah! You are more than a conqueror through Him who loves you. Don’t be afraid any longer of any instruments of the enemy; they are just to scare you. Remember that you are not in the same class with the devil or his cohorts. God is the one driving and carrying you. Relax because you are in safe hands.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”

  1. Father l thank you for this understanding that you are carrying me

  2. Powers challenging God in my life, their time is up, die in Jesus' name

  3. I shall fulfil my purpose here and hereafter in Jesus' name

  4. I trample upon serpents and scorpions in Jesus' name.
