Today’s Readings:
John 3:11-21
Psalm 100
John 1:43-51
We guard some things jealously. One of them is our privacy. This is the reason we protect our mobile devices, bank apps, and other sensitive information with passwords. We share these sensitive pieces of information only with a person or persons we trust in the hope that they will not betray us. Nathaniel felt his secrets were known to him alone until He encountered Jesus who told him something that only God knows. ‘I saw you under the fig tree’ (John 1:48). This statement summarizes Nathaniel’s struggles with his weaknesses and insecurities, much like the things we struggle with in private (our insecurities and addictions). These things are known to God and He wants to help us overcome them so that we do not have to live in shame any more.
Sometimes, we think that God does not understand what we are going through. But Jesus knows your story. He knows where you have been. He knows what you have done. He knows all you have been through. And He still chooses us despite our unworthiness. Jesus tells Nathaniel, “You will see greater things” (John 1:50). He wants us to come to a deeper knowledge and appreciation of His love for us and for us to understand that even though most of our plans have fallen through, God has a bigger and better plan for us. God wants to reveal greater things to you if you align yourself with Him.
How do you align yourself with God?
Always remember that you are a child of God and not a slave to sin.
Let your heart be filled with love, not hate.
Be remorseful over your sins and do not be proud.
Be generous with the poor and not stingy.
Be persistent in spreading the faith and have no part in the works of darkness and sin.
Celebrate others and do not hate or envy them.
Let your conscience be clean by renouncing your sins in confession.
Be conscious of God’s presence in you because He will never abandon you.
Be filled with faith, not fear and greater things will begin to manifest in your life.
What are you afraid of?
Are you afraid that you will pass through this world unnoticed?
Are you afraid that time will erode memories of you from people’s minds?
Are you afraid of failure; that your labours will be in vain?
Are you afraid that you lack the courage to quit your sins?
Do not be afraid. God wants to do great things with you. Align yourself with Him and you shall see greater things.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud: Father, thank you for Jesus Christ. Forgive my sins, take control of my heart and lead me in your righteous path by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You, Lord. Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and report to the resident pastor or priest.
Prayer:
Son of God, King of Israel, You made me, and You know me through and through. Take away all my fears and insecurities; fill me with Your love, encourage me, and grant me the grace to do greater things in union with You, in Jesus' name. Amen.
Lord, let Your will and divine purpose take precedence in my life, over my plans and give me countless testimonies of Your goodness and love in Jesus' name. Amen.
