Today’s Reading:

John 15:1-7

The Lord Jesus always meant what he said and always said what He meant. It is the Father’s wish to always give us what we ask for in the name of Jesus Christ who is the greatest gift and if God could give us Jesus, nothing is too big for Him to give us (Romans 8:32).

According to Matthew 7:7-11, Jesus promised that we will receive whatever we ask but why do Christians ask and do not receive? Sometimes they ask for the wrong things, and because they are not asking according to God’s will.

Some Christians don’t want to care what God’s will is, they just want to have things because their neighbour has them. They are asking, to ‘’consume it on their lust’’ God wants us to have good things, but there is a condition that must be fulfilled.

How are you going to know the will of God? By abiding in Christ,( John 15:7) makes it clear that it is when we keep abiding in Him that we can ask according to His will and are assured of answers.

‘’Abide in Him’’ is another way of saying ‘’continue fellowshipping with Him’’. This makes His word abide in us and His word moves us to ask the right things from Him. If you are continually connected with Him, you will not have to worry about His will, because you will naturally know it. So, stay connected.
