Today’s Readings:
Isaiah 6:1-8
Psalm 93:1-2,5
Matthew 10:24-33
It is a very dangerous thing to make God your enemy. To be God’s enemy means that you have turned your back on Him. You act in a way that is in opposition to who God made you to be. You no longer live a life of holiness—your will and your choices are no longer aligned with your Creator. You have chosen to align yourself with the enemy. You have chosen to be a weapon in the hands of the evil one; to wreak havoc in the kingdom of God. Does this sound like you? It is scary even speaking about it because no child of God should ever desire to be an agent of darkness, a weapon in the hands of the Devil, leading poor children of God away from His kingdom.
So, be like Isaiah:
Admit your poor state: Seeing the glory of heaven, Isaiah screams because He knows that he is far from what God wants him to be, far away from the mission that God has entrusted to Him. “What a wretched state I am in!” he said.
Accept purification from sin: A seraph descends from heaven with a hot coal presses it on Isaiah’s tongue and declares him clean. This means that although he had strayed from God, he is now restored.
Do you see yourself as God’s chosen instrument as Isaiah was? When God says, “Who will be my messenger?” Your word should be, “Here I am, send me.” This divine mission is bigger than you and it can cause you to be afraid. But three times, Jesus says, “Do not be afraid.”
Do not be afraid when God uncovers the schemes and plans of the evil one. He will strengthen you to destroy them.
Do not be afraid of those who kill the body because the Devil will send his army against you. They will try to discourage you with demeaning words and fewer opportunities to earn a livelihood.
There is no need to be afraid because you are worth more than hundreds of sparrows. He takes care of birds. He will surely provide for you who are made in His image and likeness.
If you choose to act differently than God has created you, you are setting yourself up for failure. Jesus says, “The one who disowns me in the presence of men, I will disown in the presence of my Father in heaven” (Matthew 10:33). May this never be your portion in Jesus’ name.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”
If you said the prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and report to the resident reverend, pastor or priest.
Prayer:
Lord, here I am to serve you. Use me for your mighty works.
Lord, cleanse me of all unworthiness.
Lord, purify me of the works of darkness and fill me with the light of Your Holy Spirit.
Lord, use my hands and feet, my tongue and my whole being to proclaim your majesty.
Lord, give me courage in the face of persecution and opposition. Lord, do not allow those who think they are more powerful than me to intimidate me.
Lord, provide my needs even as I stand to proclaim your Word.
Lord, open doors of opportunities to me in your kingdom so that the forces of evil shall never prevail.
Lord, let me never be afraid of criticism and condemnation for Your name’s sake.
Lord, help me to do all things for your glory through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
May our ears be tuned to God's frequency and may we fulfil our purpose to the glory of His name and for our peace and prosperity through Christ our Lord. Amen.
