Today’s Reading:
Psalms 35: 1-10 (5)
“May they be like chaff before the wind, with the Angel of the Lord driving them away.” (v. 5, NIV)

A battle is a struggle tenaciously to achieve or resist something. This world can be likened to a battleground, there is always something to resist or something to achieve, one must always have a personal or collective challenge to contend with, and it is either the challenge that overpowers an individual or he/she overcomes the challenge and move forward. Battles are either spiritual or physical and strategies, courage and strength are always required to win any kind of battle. King David wrote Psalms 35 when King Saul was trying to catch him or when his son Absalom was fighting him. King David did not try to kill his enemies, he applied the strategy of inviting God to fight his battles for him in His (God’s) own way.
Balak had evil plans against the Israelites, but he could not execute his evil intentions alone. He needed to consult Balaam for spiritual assistance to enhance him to carry out his evil plan, but God delivered the Israelites because they had the blessings of victory from God. Paul returned from a successful missionary journey and was warmly welcomed, he narrated his evangelical exploits for Christ and after that, criticisms of his teaching evolved like a wildfire, but God strengthened him to stand firm.
It is time for you to know that you need to passionately call on God and totally depend on him to fight your battles in His own way, which is the best strategy. He is The God of King David that delivered him from those that were pursuing him, the God of The Israelites that delivered them from the evil divination and collaboration of Balak and Balaam, and He is the same God of Paul that delivered him from criticism, He will arise and take over your battles in Jesus’ name.

Oh Lord, please, take over all my battles and fight them in your own way, in Jesus name.
Righteous Father, arise in your power and overthrow all the enemies of the Church, in Jesus name.
