“Renewed Hope” is more than just a political slogan. It is God’s will for us through Christ. Ephesian 1:9,10 says, “God made known to us the mystery of His will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfilment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.” Christ is the source of renewed hope. This was the motto of Pope St Pius X (to restore all things in Christ). This is a task for all of us, children of God, baptised Christians, citizens of earth and heaven, called to lead others to salvation.
How can you fulfil your duty of restoring all things to Christ today?
There are no small roles only small people — do your assigned duties well and God will reward you generously.
To abandon your task (what you are called to do) is to frustrate God’s plan of salvation for the world.
When you use your gifts and position to entrench good Christian values, you are hastening the fulfilment of God’s plan of salvation.
Rumours, hatred, crime, war, greed and corruption are not part of God’s plan—flee from them and condemn these vices in others.
Your self-development, looking out for the well-being of others, fulfilling your tasks each day and working for your salvation is God’s will for your life.
You are a shepherd, called to lead God’s people, to provide inspiration by your good example and pray for the salvation of all.
You abdicate your place of leadership and authority when you choose selfishness over service, pride over humility, self-will over obedience and malice over goodness.
You are either blessing others or ruining their lives, you either add value or take advantage of them. Which are you doing?
Do not sabotage your leadership role by making money and profit your only goal in life. The lives and destinies of people are hanging on your every decision.
Give time daily to God’s word which instructs the mind and touches the heart, so that it influences your choices and decisions.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”
If you said the prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and report to the resident reverend, pastor or priest.
Prayer:
Lord, shepherd me.
Lord, make me obedient and docile to You.
Lord, never let me stray from the path of salvation.
Lord, preserve my heart from darkness and destruction.
Lord, make me generous in service.
Lord, teach me patience and humility.
Lord, make me generous and merciful as You are.
Lord, keep me safe for eternal life. Amen.
Lord, restore hope in the hearts of all people. Give us the grace to do our part and respect everyone we have the privilege of serving for the glory of your name. Amen.
10. May the light of the Holy Spirit fill your heart with peace, progress and renewed purpose. God is in control of your life in Jesus' Holy name. Amen.
