Today’s Reading:
Psalm 65:5-12
“You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Saviour, the hope of all the end of the Earth and of the farthest seas.” (v. 5)

Waiting overtime has proven to be a difficult task but has also proven rewarding if done appropriately and intentionally. Overtime, people have actually waited oftentimes on God and not in God. Waiting in God is out rightly different from waiting on God, these are two different things entirely. Anyone can actually wait on God like every other worker like waiters, waitresses, host, and hostesses, they are only carrying out their duties as it is core for them because afterwards, they know definitely that they will get their pay and can even be tipped by the guests.
Waiting in God means a deliberate action not borne out of what you want to get or gain. In fact, the result might not be glaring or even be sensed but deliberate as whether or not the result comes forth. Examples are the lives of the three Hebrew men (Daniel 3: 16- 18), Job and other men and women of God who are deliberate about the waiting for they knew the God they are waiting on is more than enough to arise even when all hopes are gone.
JAMES ALADE
Prayer:
Oh Lord, help me not only to wait on you but also in you, in Jesus name.
Lord hold me, and help my faith even in my waiting moments, in Jesus name.
May my waiting time be duly rewarded, in Jesus name.
Every child of God waiting in You, may they not grow weary, in Jesus name.
