Today’s Reading:
Psalm 19:1-6 (1)
"The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork." (v.1 NKJV)
This psalm begins with creation in nature as a source of wisdom (vv. 1-6), then moves to God's instructions, his word as the perfect source of wisdom (vv. 7-11) and ends with David's personal life, as human need for redemption (vv.12-14). God's wisdom as perceived by us is the splendour of his glory. His glory is in his handiwork, as his signature in his world, his revelation of himself to us, the physical manifestation of his divine presence, the external form of his majesty, his pre-eminence and dignity.
The wisdom of God does not need to be spoken of; because day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge (vv. 1-2). Throughout creation, it is seen, felt, and experienced. Paul used this to condemn Israel for lack of receptivity to Jesus Christ (Rom.10:18). The sun, the moon the stars are part of God's creation therefore, they should not be regarded as deities as people of the ancient Near East nations believed (vv. 3-4) and even today in our world. The world order is God's arena of display of his wisdom and the heavenly realms are his dwelling place. From the heavens he observes us and everything around us. He comes to rescue us when we are in danger and cry to him for help (18:6-8; 76:8; 144:5). Our failures and rebellions do not affect the heavens (2:1-4). They display God's quality of fidelity, righteousness, and wisdom. They reveal the Lord's glory and gives us evidence of his presence and signature.
In our business, we always forget, neglect to stand in awe of the heavenly beauty God has prepared for our delight and his glory. We should learn like David to appreciate the wisdom, beauty and glory of God all around us. We should set time to hear the heavens talk to us through God's handiwork. In the wonders of his creation, we will see his majesty and his character and then we will gain deeper understanding of him and his eternal power and glory.

Father, thank You for making my arena part of Your world. Teach me and empower me to observe the creativity of our world around me and be able to appreciate Your awesomeness, in Jesus name.
Father, I dwell in Your secret place and as the most High God, keep me to dwell under the shadow of You as the Almighty God and be able to say, Lord, You are my Refuge, my Fortress and God, I will trust in you, in Jesus name
Father do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries, because there has risen false witnesses with violence against me; my prayer Lord, is to see Your goodness in the land of the living, in Jesus name.
Every power of eaters of flesh and drinkers of blood assigned against my life, die, in Jesus name.
Father uproot everything you have not planted in your church and revive your Pentecostal fire and power in Jesus name.
Father, thank you for sustaining Nigeria with your power and fire. Deliver our nation, Lord from wicked blood thirsty powers, in Jesus name.
