Today’s Reading:
Psalm 114
“When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; Judah was his sanctuary, And Israel his dominion. The sea saw it and fled: Jordan was driven back. The mountains skipped like rams, And the little hills like lambs. What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? Thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back? Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; And ye little hills, like lambs? Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the God of Jacob; Which turned the rock into a standing water, The flint into a fountain of waters.”
The above psalm talks about when the children of Israel left Egypt after 430 years in hardship. They are a place and people that did not know God. Verse 2 says that Judah was his sanctuary. Judah means praise, meaning that they left praising their God. Israel was his dominion. The flight from Egypt is likened to salvation. The Bible says that we should come out of them and be separated. It is only when you separate from the world that you begin to experience the power of God in your life. Until the children of Israel left Egypt, they never knew that the sea could be separated in a heap, and they would walk on dry ground. The power of the Almighty began to move in their lives the moment they left Egypt.
For you to experience the power of God, and impossible things become possible, you need to surrender your life to Jesus, and cross your spiritual Red Sea on dry ground. Mountains move and impossible things become possible at the presence of God. There is nothing like experiencing the presence of God. The Bible says, "call onto me in the day of trouble, and I will show you great and mighty things you never know.” (Jeremiah 33:3) The Psalmist in Psalm 114 was asking the seas why it fled, and the mountains that skipped like rams, where is your boasting, and where is your power.
I don't know what mountain is confronting you or the sea raging against you, but I am certain that if you call upon the Lord today in faith, you will see them skip like ram, and flee like the Red Sea.

Prayers:
O Sovereign God, the earth tremble at Your presence, at the presence of the God of Jacob.
Praise ye the Lord, I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.
My father, I rededicate my life to You, in the name of Jesus
In the face of those asking for my God, O God arise and manifest Your power, in the name of Jesus.
Powers challenging God in my life, die, in the name of Jesus
O Lord make Your Church a citadel of your power, in the name of Jesus
Every blanket of darkness over our nation, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
