THE NEED TO PRAISE GOD AT ALL TIMES

Today’s Reading:

Psalm 47

“Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise. God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne.” (Psalm 47:6-8)

Praising God is inevitable because the Bible says, God is the King of all the earth and reigns over all nations. This means that during the bad times, God is the King and He reigns over us, as well, during the good times He also reigns, and He is also the King of all the earth. God as the King and His reigning power over us brings to us that whether we are in good or bad times, we have to praise Him always.

In verse 6, the Bible command us to praise the Almighty God who is seated on His Holy throne. The situation we are in this country does not stop us from praising God.

God in the valley is the same God on the mountain. Whether we are in the valley or on the mountain presently, we are commanded to praise God at all times. Everywhere we are or anything that happens to us, either good or bad, whether in the valley or on the mountain, let us praise God for His reigning power as King over all the earth.

Prayer:

  1. I will extol thee, my God, O king, and I will bless Thy name forever and ever.

  2. Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name forever and ever.

  3. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and His greatness is unsearchable.

  4. LORD, as I journey in this life of vanity, give me the heart of praise.

  5. Jesus, take away my divided heart that hinders me from praising you.

  6. The Holy Spirit put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise.

  7. Father, as I face the battles of life, cause me to praise you at all times.

  8. God, teach me how to praise you.
