THE FUTILITY OF ANY OTHER SACRIFICE

Today’s Reading:

Psalm Hebrews 9:11-15

“… and for this reason He is the mediator of the new covenant, so that by means of death for the redemption of the transgressions committed under the first covenant, those who have been called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.” (v.15)

Sacrifice was a means of appealing the gods. Under the Old Testament, there were many sacrifices offered, all with the mind of establishing a relationship with a god. These went on until the once-and-for-all-sacrifice was offered on the cross at Calvary if one recognized the futility of the Old Testament system, there was struggled for relief from the insufficiency of ceremonial performances and the inadequacies of animal sacrifices.

As opposed to the blood of animals, Jesus of His own incarnate blood for the sins of those who draw near to Him (Isaiah 53:12; Ephesians 1:7). Jesus came to the father in heaven with his own blood, not with the blood of animals. In contrast to the early offering of animal sacrifices under the Old Testament law, His sacrifice for the sins of men was made once and for all time. The effects of the action of redemption by his blood were eternal. Hallelujah!

Any other sacrifice we are doing today is futile. Some churches today still ask people to come with something or items to be used for sacrifice. Though they do not mention or call it sacrifice but in the real sense of it, it is sacrifice. Children of God need to be careful in this end-time, so many ministry and churches have sprung up using the name of Jesus but deep down they are satanic agents, wolf in sheep’s clothing. We must understand that Jesus paid it all. Any other forms of worship demanding for ransom or items of sacrifice before you can approach the throne of grace is satanic and anti- Christ.

Prayer:

1. Thank you, Lord, for the blood that was shed at Calvary.

2. Every evil sacrifice targeted against me and my family, scatter by fire.

3. May the power in the blood of Jesus avail and atone for me in Jesus name.

4. Every fake servants of God deceiving people in this end-time, oh Lord you will expose them.

5. For as many who are in the cage or that have fallen victim of this fake prophet, Lord deliver them.
