Today’s Reading:
Ruth 2:10 – 14
Ruth, a Moabites’s ( a country we believed was not God`s choice) after the death of her husband decided to follow her mother-in-law (Naomi) despite all odds leaving behind her gods, parents, friends, and so on, to Bethlehem of Judah. When she went to glean in Boaz`s vineyard, she found grace in the eyes of Boaz.
Christians need to avoid this ”overfamiliarity” attitude with God. We tend to forget that we should give our all to Him. We see God as “He knows now” but, in this passage Ruth left all and followed her mother-in-law. The Bible states the requirement of following Jesus in Luke 14:26-27 as hating every other thing. As believers, it is expedient that we follow Christ on daily basis and guess what? The Bible says in Luke 18:29-30 “And He said unto them, verily l say unto you, there is no man that hath left house or parent or brethren or wife or children for the kingdom of God`s sake, who shall not receive multiple more in this world, and in the world to come, everlasting life. Wow! That is the full reward.
Ruth was rewarded because she left and followed Naomi and she was recorded in the Scripture as one of the ancestors of Jesus. Look into your life today. What have you not left? You need to drop that one too, that everyone you have not dropped will not make it all complete. So that you will get the full reward as promised by Christ.

Prayer:
Oh! God! Help me to surrender my “all” to you, in Jesus name.
Open my eyes Jesus, to see those things that I have not dropped and need to drop to live the life you want, in Jesus name.
Father my reward must not elude me, in Jesus name.
Dear Lord, please help Your church to always follow Your footsteps, in Jesus name.
Jesus, bless this country in every aspect, in Jesus name.
