Today’s Readings:
Psalm 119:105-112; 2 Kings 23:1-8, 21-25; 2 Cor. 4:1-12
The word of God is the Lamb of God. The word of the Lord is the Sword and weapon to confront the enemies. No one confronts Satan and becomes victorious if he or she does not hold to the precept of God. The word of God is the light that sends darkness away – it is an antidote to solve every problem of life.
The word of the Lord designs and decorates lives of people that have faith in it. It is through this Word blemishes are removed from the lives of people who cannot but listen and obey God; because God is the word. This word is a Super-Being that dwell among his people (John 1:14) – this word is capable enough to set captives free. Through this word, promotions are received. Healing, fruitfulness, blessings, salvation, victory, justification, redemption, purification and a lot more are the benefits that parade lives of the people who believe in God’s word.
To obey God’s word is to show love to Christ – no one loves Christ and disobeys God’s precept. Jesus Christ said you are my friends if you obey my commands. No one is conquered by the world’s darkness system except the one who refuses to obey the rules and regulations of God. Some people obey the law of the world at the expense of God’s instruction – they see the word of God as a burden to the heavy yolk of this world system. The only way out is to cleave to God and obey his precepts.
OLOYEDE SUNDAY OYEDELE
Prayer:
Create in me a pure heart O! God, and renew a right, teachable and humble spirit in me, in Jesus name.
Every dark covering over my life and family, be removed by the power in the blood of Jesus, in Jesus’ name.
God, cancel every pending doom dangling on this world because of disobedience in Jesus’ name.
Father the harvest is plenty and the labourers are few; send conscious harvesters into your field, God, in Jesus’ name.
God, correct the system of this world through your word in Jesus’ name.
