Today’s Readings:
Psalm 126;
Neh. 9:1-8;
Luke 6:12-18

God has a way by which he delivers his people from the shackle of their enemies. It is possible he allows his people to experience unpleasant situation, but He has ways of restoring them back to himself. When God allows unpleasant things to happen to His people, it does not mean God had rejected them. He allows that as a way to trap their enemies. He declared the exile of the people of Israel, but he also punished those who enslaved them. He allows his people to suffer but he punishes people who suffer them while he plans a way for the emancipation and freedom of his children. The children of God always enjoyed the Lordship of God after they received freedom from exile and from the shackles of their enemies. They enjoyed more years of freedom than the number of years they had suffered. It means God had prepared a crown ahead after their slavery experiences (James 1:12).
This is done when His children return to Him – God uses those experiences as opportunities to restructure, and mend lives of His people in order to depict the picture He conceives in mind for his people. The plan of God for His children is to represent Him in this world system. The children of God are God’s representative – they are to preach the good news in all the corners of this world.
OLOYEDE SUNDAY OYEDELE
Prayer:
God, please free me from all sins and save me from my enemies. Let my testimonies confound my enemies.
God, substitute sorrow and unpleasant situation with joy and good experiences in the body of Christ.
God, help me to represent You well on this planet earth, in Jesus name.
God, open my eyes to see Your plans for me in all my experiences, in Jesus name.
God, break the shackle of enemies over my life and in the body of Christ to allow the Gospel spread, in Jesus name.
