TEMPLE – A SACRED PLACE TO COMMUNE WITH GOD

Today’s Readings:

Psalm 27:1-6; 1 Sam. 1:1-20; Gal. 1:11-24

There always be an oasis in the desert. There must be a fellowship centre in the entire Garden of Eden where God meets with Adam and Eve. There is a place dedicated for the Lord called Zion in the entire Jerusalem. There is a Bethel where God dwells – He is always pleased and happy to see His children coming to meet him in His house – where He breathes on them for more strength. It is a place to gain and regain happiness, freedom, deliverance, salvation, confidence, and promotion. All these are achieved when sincere and healthy worship is rendered unto God.

God is always in his Temple to restructure one’s life, to remove a long-time stigma. It is a place to reform and remould a shattered life. God puts smile on the faces of his people; he listens to any complaint brought to him. God is an Omnipresent God – he can hear and answer prayers anywhere, but he is delighted to stay in the gathering of his people. There is no one who comes to the Lord that will go empty-handed (unblessed), but he looks at the hearts of his worshippers if it is in accordance with his goodness-heart. This is the reason so many people who go to the house of God return home without any blessing from God; because they boast of their achievement to mock others. The way they boast of their achievement blocks the other blessings God packages for them. Temple of God is a place to rehabilitate one’s life in order to become a God designed vessel.

OLOYEDE SUNDAY OYEDELE

Prayer:

  1. God’s complete love for me drives away my fear of judgement, in Jesus’ name.

  2. Thank You Lord, for hearing my cry from your holy place, in Jesus’ name.

  3. I am set apart from the world unto the living God, therefore I am really a saint. I am not condemned because I live in Christ, in Jesus’ name.

  4. Father uproot everything You have not planted in Your Church, and revive Your Pentecostal fire and power, in Jesus’ name.

  5. Evil spies, searching for my secrets, be paralysed, in Jesus’ name.

  6. God, silent every tongue disdaining and mocking my life, in Jesus’ name.

  7. Father let Your mercy like a river flow across the length and breadth of our nation in Jesus’ name.
