Today’s Reading:
Bible Reading: Isaiah 59:1-15
“But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” (v. 2)
In the beginning, the separation of God and man was caused by sin. Sin is a vice that destroyed the relationship between God and man. Why? God hates sin. One of the nature of God is holiness. He wants us to be Holy. When sin has its way into our lives, we become subject and slaves to it. There are so many things sin caused in our lives, like separation from God, God’s face is hidden from us, He no longer hears us again.
Prophet Isaiah challenged the Israelite concerning their sin. In v. 1-2 that, the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. Sin makes us to be in darkness and a far distance to God. We must confess our sin, forsake it, abstain from it, and repent today, so that, God will forgive us and extend His mercy to us.

Every power of sin in my life catch fire in the name of Jesus.
Lord Jesus, I come to the presence of your throne with the heart of repentance, forgive me my sin.
