Today's Readings:
1 Samuel 3:1-10,19-20
Psalm 39:2,5,7-10
Mark 1:29-39
Are you in a situation where you need to hear from God? Do you seek directions out of a hopeless situation? God is always the answer you need. He spoke to Samuel and called him to serve Israel as a judge. He raised Peter's mother-in-law who had taken ill and gave her strength to resume her former tasks. What is your challenge? Why are you sad? God is listening to you. Have you called Him into that situation yet?
The way we call God is through prayer, which is the raising up of the heart (seat of emotions) and mind (the intellect and seat of knowledge and wisdom) to God. In prayer, God strengthens our hearts and fills us with wisdom and the courage to do what is right. The way God speaks to you is through the words of Scripture which you ought to create time for and read daily. Begin by praying the Psalms and reading the passages provided daily by the Church Lectionary. May God grant you a double portion of His wisdom and strength today, as you read the Scriptures, in Jesus' name.
Remember what Scripture says:
Philippians 4:6 – “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Colossians 3:16,17 – “Let the message of Christ, in all its richness, find a home with you;
through him give thanks to God the Father.”

If you provide services for which you are undervalued or underpaid, may God provide for your needs and inspire you to do more in Jesus' name.
Are you seeking admission into school? May God who fights for the defenceless and speaks for the voiceless obtain your admission in Jesus' name.
If you are seeking employment, do not give up or be discouraged. God has made provision for you today in Jesus' name.
If you are seeking accommodation and the money to pay your rent, you will find that place that feels like home in Jesus' name.
For those seeking fruitfulness in their marriage, you will carry your children just like Hannah carried Samuel in Jesus' name.
God is speaking to your worries and heartaches through Christ our Lord.
God is banishing your loneliness and providing you strength in Jesus' name.
Peace and love are being released into your family through the Holy Spirit of God in Jesus' name.
Tell God your needs and let Him speak to your situation today and obtain what you need in Jesus' name.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud: Father, thank you for Jesus Christ. Forgive my sins, take control of my heart and lead me in your righteous path by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You, Lord. Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and report to the resident pastor or priest.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I come before You humbly, ashamed and contrite. I am sorry that I have failed time and again to listen to Your word. Speak to me and my situation. Give me a sense of direction and the strength to do what I know is right through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
Lord, in Your love, speak Your blessings upon us, answer our humble prayer: give us the grace to see what we have to do and the strength to do it, in Jesus' name. Amen.
