SHOW ME A TOKEN FOR GOOD OH LORD

Today's Reading:

Psalm 86:17

"Show me a token for good: that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me". (v. 17)

 


The Bible says in the book of Mark 16:17-18 that "And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my name shall they cast out devils, they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." These and more are the benefits of the children of God. Failure to be what God planned any of His children to be can be devastating and discouraging to others.


People of the world most often than not are looking forward to seeing what becomes of our faith and actions in the Lord. A lot of people even got converted on the basis of what they see in us and know about us. If there is any endeavour we need to pursue, it is how to be a true disciple of Jesus who follow and bear His testimonies in all ramifications of our lives. These can be achieved through our behaviour towards God and men. We do this by showing some attitudes and attributes of Jesus like being good, gentle, enduring, accommodating, loving the unlovable and so on.


By these and more we begin to enjoy and experience the tokens of God for our lives. I pray the words of God shall prosper us, in the name of Jesus.

Prayer:

  1. Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; Praise Him in His mighty heaven!

  2. Praise Him for His mighty works; praise His unequalled greatness!

  3. Praise Him with the Blast of the ram’s horn;

  4. Praise Him with the lyre and harp!

  5. Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord.

  6. Power to be in right standing with the Lord fall upon me in the name of Jesus

  7. Oh God arise and let Your words find expression in my life, in the name of Jesus.

  8. Oh God arise and show Your power in Christian homes, in the name of Jesus.

  9. Signs and Wonders of God locate me and my family now, in the name of Jesus.

  10. Words of God justify and bless me in the name of Jesus.
