Never put money before a relationship—at least not with me. If your relationship with me is more business-like, there is a greater chance that our relationship will not last. To my mind, when what I can give you is more important to you than the relationship we should have, then my demise or departure is of no consequence and little importance to you. This is a sentiment I believe that more people share. We all want to be valued and treated with respect. We are not the sum of what we have or what we can do; we are the sum of God’s love for us. And God who loves us wants us to place Him above everything else that we value in this world and surely above money which seems to be driving most people mad.
Here are some of my thoughts on money and how to relate to it:
Money is God’s creature and its proper use is for our care and the well-being of others.
Money is only useful for what it can afford you.
Work hard to make money but do not live only to make it.
Money is not the root of all evil— our love of money is the problem.
Do not pray for money—pray for contentment instead.
Place more value on the people in your life and spend more time building relationships with family and friends.
When you make more money, do not raise your standard of living— raise your standard of giving.
If you wish to experience real joy, offer a gift to someone who cannot repay you.
Pray daily for the grace to resist the temptation to be unduly attached to money and material things.
If the possession of money reveals the bad side of you, you will never be able to access real blessings.
Remember those who have supported you when you did not have much and send them a gift in appreciation.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for a brand-new day.
I place all that I shall think of, all that I will do and everyone I will come in contact with into Your loving hands. Give me more hunger for doing Your will than those in the world have for worldly things. Amen
Heavenly Father, grant me a spirit of contentment and self-restraint in my pursuit of money and material things.
Give me strength to work for my daily bread, maintain my relationship with my neighbour and work to establish your kingdom here on earth and attain eternal happiness forever. Amen.
Lord, help us by your grace to establish Your kingdom of Justice, Love, Truth and Peace on earth and dispel sin, selfishness and greed. Amen.
May God grant growth and success to your plans for the day and lead you to the gifts that last forever through Christ our Lord. Amen.
