Today’s Reading:
Jeremiah 29:1-14 (13; 1Chronicles 16:11-12)
"And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” (v. 13)
“Seek the Lord and His strength, seek His face continually. 12 Remember his Marvellous works that he hath done, his wonders, and the judgements of his mouth.” (1Chronicles 16:11-12)

Why search for God? Because we want to know the meaning and purpose of life. Because we want to know what happens after our live here on earth ends. Because we have a desire for him. Because He first sought us out, He created us for His Glory. We seek to know Him deeper and deeper. Brother Paul with the intimacy, wisdom, and divine touch of writing almost half of the New Testament said, "That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto his death" (Phil. 3:10). This statement I must confess to you has been a mystery to me …"THAT I MAY KNOW HIM …"
The Bible encourages us to “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matt. 6:33).
What is "ALL THESE THINGS ?” Material things like food, clothing, wealth, our needs, our desires, challenges and so on. You are to seek His Righteousness NOT yours! How do you seek him? Seeking God means seeking His presence, His face, His laws, His statutes, and His commandments.
a) Through reading your Bible: God speaks through His written Word to those whose hearts are longing for Him. How often do you read your Bible? Do you read to connect or as a book? Do you read because others are reading? As it is the in-thing now, what is in vogue, what is trending? What is your motive?
b) By singing songs of praise and worship: The Bible tells us that God occupies the praises of His people. “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabits the praises of Israel" (Psalm 22:3) and;
c) Through prayer: Remember, we are commanded to pray without ceasing. (1Thess.5:17). Prayer is the staff to walk with God. It is the oxygen of believers. Prayer connects us to God's power and purpose. Prayer is an art that started early with man, even though man did not understand the effectiveness of prayer. Enoch was the fourth from Adam and men started to call upon the Lord God in his days.
In this new year, we must strive to seek Him, search for Him with our hearts. But we cannot do this on our own. We need the Holy Spirit to help us, to guide, to direct and teach us. And you cannot have the Holy Spirit IF you do not have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Talk to Him now … confess and repent of your sins. Make Him your Lord and Master.
God bless,

Prayer:
Lord My Father, create in me a clean heart, in Jesus name.
Anything inside of me that is hindering the move of God, die now, in Jesus name.
Grace to be obedient to the end, give it to me Lord, in Jesus name.
Holy Spirit, move in a mighty way in the Body of Christ, in Jesus name.
Jesus Christ the Prince Of Peace, come and reign in our nation, in Jesus name.
