Today’s Reading:
2 Cor. 9:6-10, John 12:24-26
The secret of a mile is an inch. No one gets to the top (the last rung) while jumping the first rung of a ladder. The secret of fruits is the seed – no one eats the seed and still expects fruits. Giving is a secret of blessing. Ecclesiastics record that, “send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you. But divide your investment among many places, for you do not know what risks might lie ahead.” (Eccl. 11:1-2, NLT).
The position of heart helps while taking steps on this matter – the decision to give comes from the heart. It is the prerogative of God to bless people; ordinarily, someone who gives out gets more blessing from it. (2 Cor. (:8, 10). God promised His people that their barns will not be emptied till the following year (Lev.26:10) – God does not make empty promises, whatever he says he meant it to the point of realization; but no one receives if he has not given from heaven. Giving out brings bountiful blessings. When weevils enter into the grain, the power of its fruitfulness will be removed. Anyone who is stingy – who monopolizes what he possesses kills the spirit and power of multiplication. The Bible says give and it will come back to you – good measure pressed down, shaken together, and running over (Luke 6:38). Giving one’s substances in a good heart will not be possible until one’s life is given out to God. (2 Cor.8:1-5)

Prayer:
God, grant me the grace to give out from what you bless me within Jesus’ name.
God, make me a source of blessing to others, in Jesus name.
God, take my life and let it be Yours, in Jesus name.
God, raise philanthropists for mission expansion, in Jesus’ name.
God, bless this nation, let Your peace reign, in Jesus name.
