Today’s Readings:

II Tim 3:1-9

Romans 1:18 - 32

“Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies between themselves." (Romans 1:24)

It’s no longer a news that we are in the end-time. The host of hell is on a rampage to get harvest into their kingdom. They are using several weapons to get people down, steal their glory and make some a walking corpse.

Some of the weapons include:

• Sexual immoralities

• Love of money

• Use of drugs

• Seeking position, power and fame

• Attacking homes

The focus here is on weapons of sexual immorality. Every weapon used by God to fulfill His purpose on earth is also used by the devil to manipulate. Sexual intercourse is good when it is done with the right person and at the right time, which is within the confines of marriage. God uses it to bring forth godly seed, e.g. Samuel, Joseph, etc. while the devil is also using it to destroy lives. Some of these sexual immoralities include: lust (a strong sexual desire for opposite or same sex), sexting (sharing sexually explicit messages, photos or videos through digital device), adultery (engaging in sexual relation with someone else apart from one’s spouse), pornography (media that depicts sexual content), fornication ( sexual intercourse between two unmarried people), bestiality (sexual acts between human and animal), pedophilia (sexual attraction to children), sexual intercourse in the dream (succubus & incubus), incest (sexual relation between close relatives), sodomy (anal or oral intercourse), masochism (deriving sexual gratification from one’s pain or humiliation), abortion (termination of innocent lives), rape (sexual intercourse carried out through force), emotional infidelity (forming emotional connection with another person apart from one’s spouse) etc.

How do people fall into sexual immorality? There are several ways which include but are not limited to the following:

  • When you feel you can never fall into it and you are not careful enough

  • When you are smelling what you will not eat

  • Once your heart is captured, i.e. lustful thought

  • Illicit dressing

  • Loose talk and relationship

  • What you see and hear

  • Spiritual arrow

  • When you are not vigilant

  • Trying to solve an opposite sex problem when it is affecting you

  • Too much closeness with an opposite sex

  • Ignoring the warning from the Holy Spirit and people

JAMES ALADE

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness.

Thank you, Lord.” If you said the prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and meet the resident reverend, pastor or priest.

Prayer:

  1. I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever. With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness for all generations.

  2. Thank You Lord for you have made man a little lower than angels and have crowned him with glory and honour. Our glory will not be tarnished nor our honour be drowned, in Jesus’ name.

  3. Create in me a pure heart, O God, renew a right, teachable and humble spirit within me, in Jesus’ name.

  4. I put on the whole armour of God in the strength, might, power and authority God supplies. I withstand the wiles of the devil and I stand firm. Holy Spirit help me, teach me, lead me, comfort me and encourage me in Jesus name.
