ROLL WITH THE SPIRIT

SUCCESS IN ANY FIELD OF HUMAN ENDEAVOUR IS ASSURED if your decisions are guided by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God and the third Person of the Blessed Trinity. He is the inspiration for all wholesome thoughts, all blessed words and all good deeds. The Holy Spirit helps us begin every good plan and brings it to a beautiful conclusion. Jesus promised the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the Church because only the Spirit can accomplish God’s plans for our lives. Now anyone who believes in Jesus is possessed by the Spirit. And every good thing is possible for those who believe in Him. Saint Peter was right when he said that, “Obedience to God comes before obedience to man…we are witnesses…we and the Holy Spirit whom God gives to all who obey Him,” because nothing else works if the Holy Spirit does not lead.


YOUR PLANS TODAY will only make sense if they are made along with the Holy Spirit. In fact, the Holy Spirit must inspire your actions. Here are some things to keep in mind:

  • Beginning your day with the Prayer to the Holy Spirit;

  • Desire that all your decisions today may be guided by God’s Spirit;

  • Write down some of the most important plans you want to achieve today;

  • Reduce the margins of error by asking God to guide you to those who will offer you good advice;

  • Take your ego out of the way when you ask others for their opinion;

  • Celebrate little successes;

  • Begin every new task with a word of prayer;

  • Let the hallmark of your actions be Philippians 4:8; “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.”

  • Do not go where the Holy Spirit is absent. Tell such persons, places and things to get behind you.

  • Signs that the Holy Spirit is absent; what is said is not true, the project is not noble, your actions are wrong, the relationship is impure and lustful, the goal is abominable, and your actions are more selfish than praiseworthy.

  • Read God’s word daily. Luke 11:13 reminds us that God is pleased to give us His Spirit; “So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Prayer:

  1. God is our hope, our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

  2. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness.

  3. Holy Spirit of God guide me and in all I do today, in Jesus name.

  4. May I never do anything that offends the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name.

  5. Holy Spirit, be the inspiration for my work, guide its development and bring it to a fruitful completion, in Jesus’ name.

  6. O Lord grant our children, youths, and young adults the wisdom and understanding to know You and love You, in Jesus name.

  7. Lord fill every Christian home with your love, that the purpose for the marriage institution may be fulfilled to the glory of your holy name, in Jesus name.

  8. Lord, use the situation in our nation to populate: Your Kingdom, in Jesus name Amen.
