Romans 8:31-34; Mark 9:2-10
You are the revelation of God. Yes, you! If you know the call of God on your life, you will quickly abandon your sins and fully commit to following Christ. Peter, James and John received the revelation of Jesus as the Transfigured One, the Beloved Son of God and the Son of Man who will die and rise again. They allowed these revelations about Jesus to shape their lives. They became more selfless, they listened more, and they crowned their discipleship by offering their lives to their Lord and Master. They knew what we too ought to know today; that following Christ selflessly will lead to eternal glory (but not without suffering).
You are chosen by God. He has called you by name. In Baptism, in Confirmation, God said about you, “This is my beloved child in whom I am well pleased. Listen to him/her. Those who listen to you shall be blessed even as you are blessed (Mk 16:17). Those who relate with you are blessed even as God has blessed you. Do you realise that you are blessed?
You are blessed in your baptism, in your Confirmation into Christ.
You are blessed when you pray and read the Scriptures daily.
You are blessed in receiving Jesus in the Eucharist and adoring Him in the Blessed Sacrament.
You are blessed in your conscious relationship with the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit).
You are blessed when you lead others to Christ.
You are blessed when you keep your relationships and marriage free from sin and selfishness.
You are blessed when you bear difficulties patiently.
You are blessed every time you say with the Psalmist, “I will walk in the presence of the Lord in the land of the living” (Psalm 116).

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud:
Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I believe and surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart, keep me from all evil, and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank You, Lord!
If you said the above short prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and report to the resident reverend, pastor or priest, as the case may be.
Prayer:
Lord, you have revealed Yourself in me. Help me to treasure Your divine presence in my heart and share Your gifts with the world, to the glory of Your name through Christ our Lord. Amen.
May God continue to bless me and strengthen me, in Jesus' name.
May moments of weakness never swallow me up, in Jesus' name.
May God’s tests serve to strengthen my faithfulness, in Jesus' name.
May goodness and mercies follow you all the days of your life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
