Today’s Reading:

II Corinthians 5:6-15

For we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due to us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” II Corinthians 5: 10

There is two sides to a coin. Most of the things in life takes one of the two sides - good or bad, here or there. In the passage before us, Apostle Paul make it clear that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. We can’t be at home in the body and be at home in the Lord at the same time. He made it clear what our perspective should be as far as receiving reward is concerned.

Firstly, we must live by faith and not by sight (v.7). We must not be afraid of death (v. 3) because death is not the end for a child of God rather it is a transition to be with the Lord (v. 9). Receiving reward is inevitable whether good or bad (v. 10). Reward awaits us. We can’t avoid the consequences of our actions. So, many are living as if there will be no reward. Let us give ourselves fully to the work of God because there is nothing, we do that is not noticed by God and will be richly rewarded (I Cor. 15:58, Rev. 22:12).

The reward is both here and hereafter. If God will reward you based on what you have done, how big you’re your reward be?

ALADE JAMES

Prayer:

  1. I will not miss my reward here and hereafter in Jesus name

  2. Nobody will take my crown in Jesus name

  3. Every efforts from the pit of hell against me to fall and falter, shall not succeed in Jesus name.
