PRAISE GOD!

Today’s Reading:

Psalm 148

As we enter the New Year, we should do so with Praise and Thanksgiving.

The psalmist encourages us to praise God no matter what. The Bible says, in all things, give thanks to God. We should keep praising Him, and form a habit of doing so from the beginning of the year.

All creation in heaven and the earth are commanded to praise Him.

- His Angels

- His hosts

- The sun and the moon

- The stars of height

- The heaven of heavens

- The waters that be above the heavens


Why should they praise Him?

  1. Because He commanded, and they were created.

  2. He has established them forever.

  3. He has made a decree which shall not pass.

All creation, animals, birds, mountains, trees, fire, hail, snow, and vapour are constantly praising God. Their existences, which man cannot explain, are constantly praising God. Meanwhile, it is only man, created in God's image that does not praise God.

Man in his sinful nature will refuse to give God thanks. He will attribute whatever achievement he has made in life to his effort.

But when we are born again, we begin to see the essence of praising God in a new light. It becomes the whole essence of our existence.

Praising God becomes something we do with joy, and it becomes our second nature. The natural man will see praising God as an afterthought, and as a part of entertainment, maybe in a party.

Therefore beloved, in this year 2024, make a habit of praising God in every situation and you will see Him manifest Himself in ways you do not expect.

Praising God also helps to renew your youth.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud: Father, thank you for Jesus Christ. Forgive my sins, take control of my heart and lead me in your righteous path by the power of Your Holy Spirit. Thank You, Lord. Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and report to the resident pastor or priest.


Prayers:

  1. Father forgive me for my inability to praise You adequately enough in the name of Jesus

  2. I praise You God for the wonders You have been performing in my life and family

  3. I praise Your name for your protection over my life and family in the name of Jesus

  4. Father Lord, clothe me with the garment of praise in the name of Jesus

  5. I praise You Lord for Your loving kindness towards me and my family in the name of Jesus

  6. O Lord help Your church imbibe the habit of praising You adequately in the name of Jesus

  7. I declare that God will continually be glorified in our nation in the name of Jesus
