Today’s Reading:
Titus 2:1-8, 11-14
A Christian must first of all understand that he/she is saved by God’s grace not by works or special services. As long as you are still on the planet earth, you are to show forth the glory of God in your deeds, actions and characters. If you can’t follow your words with actions, don’t say them. The gospel of salvation is for all irrespective of your Gender, age or social Status. Our focus should be on Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvellous light and constantly shine the light even unto the day of His appearing. We are saved to save others. We are to do away with every sin that easily beset, obstruct and hinders us (Heb. 12:1).
People in our (house, office, family and church) want to see us practice what we preach to them. Our lives should be able to showcase Christ. Our words should be edifying not destructive. When you preach honesty, are you honest. Is your heart pure as you preach purity of heart? How often do you show love as you preach love? What of trustworthiness, integrity, faithfulness in stewardship (Psalms 101:1-3)? In all things show yourself a pattern of good works (Titus 2:7).
Don’t say “I am not a Pastor, Evangelist, Reverend, Bishop so God is not talking to me” The mission of preaching the gospel to save souls is for every child of God (Matt. 28:18). As a child of God, saved by grace, if you want to be followed, be an example. Parent should be good examples to their children and should maintain a high level of integrity (Prov. 11:3). Let Christ be seen in your actions and in your words.

Lord Jesus, you lived an exemplary life of all you taught us, help me to live an exemplary life that brings glory to your name, in Jesus name.
I receive the grace to lead by example, in Jesus name.
By the blood of Jesus Christ I stand against every device of distractions of Satan, in Jesus name.
O Lord, empower all the servants of God in the Church to begin to do what they preach, in Jesus name.
Father, make Nigerian leaders to live exemplary life, in Jesus name. Amen.
