The power of persistent prayer lies in trusting that God who has made a plan will provide for our needs. God’s plan consists in providing us with the keys of prayer which unlocks every door to God’s blessings, even those which seem impossible by human standards. A friend of mine once shared with me how he kept going back to a Church that he intended to use for his movie and how they kept ignoring his application for 6 months. His producer dissuaded him, explaining that there were other places they could use but he insisted that this particular Church was the one he wanted. After 6 months of going to the same church weekly, he was invited to bring his proposal and he was eventually granted permission to use the Church. The movie they shot is the 2023 blockbuster, “The Black Book”.
Here are some lessons to learn about prayer:
God answers every prayer.
Go down on your knees every morning and commit the day to God’s hands.
Pause at intervals during the day and thank God for all that is happening.
At the end of each day, kneel and thank God for all that has happened.
God honours every request you make and sometimes even better than you think.
Be open to God’s answer to your prayers and do not insist on what you think.
Keep praying until you receive what you have prayed for.
Do not give up on prayer; there are no better options.
Pray and work along the lines of what you are praying for.
Pray about every proposal, new venture or project (leave nothing to chance).
Anything that you begin without prayer is already doomed to failure.
Pray about every relationship or marriage proposal.
Pray for your spouse and your children.
If you are still single, pray for your future spouse.
Pray for the people you call your friends (they will either help you or derail you from God’s plan for your life if you are not careful).
