“Great is the Lord and exceedingly praiseworthy, And His greatness has no limit. Generation and generation shall praise Your works, And they shall declare Your Power.” (vv.3-4 Orthodox Version)
"For great is the Lord and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods” (96:4 AMPV)
The psalmist, overwhelmed by all what God has done, sings out His praises, exalts the Lord over all gods (95:2-3) and nations (99:2). God inspires awe more than anyone or anything else (76:7). God is beyond human reach, possession, or comprehension. The revelation of who He is, and what he has done to redeem us from His wrath, should cause us to forever praise His name while we have breath. In 2020, during the COVID 19 Pandemic, we experience the supremacy of God over all the nations scientist, and all concern are search for cure and antidote for the virus, but no nation has yet come forward with a concrete cure or antidote.
When we believe and have experienced the greatness of God, we cannot but tell others about Him. The greatest witness occurs when our hearts are filled with appreciation of God's deeds. He has chosen to use us to declare his marvellous acts amongst all peoples. As the praise of God overflows from His creation, it should also overflow from our individual lips.
How do we praise God?
1. We can sing about Him, tell others about him, worship him, give him all glory and honour, worship him with our offerings or substance, and live holy and righteous lives.
2. A time will come when all nations will join together to recognise and worship God that created the Heavens and the earth and everything in them. God is love, He overflows with love and He satisfy all those who are steadfast with and trust in him. As the English Christian hymn writer says: “God is working His Purpose Out, as years succeeds year, God is working his purpose out, And the time is drawing near … (written 1894; Text: Arthur Campbell Ainger (Hab. 2:14).
3. Our main purpose here on earth, and our chief end are to glorify God and enjoy him and his goodness forever. Also, several passages in the Bible enjoined us to show gratitude and adore God. When we adore Him, we celebrate him as the source from whom all goodness, all blessings flow.
4. Our praise of God leads us into the joyful state for which we were created.
5. Praise and worship of God draw us into a close spiritual relationship with God, just as a peaceful pastoral scene points to the majesty of the Creator God; or a beautiful sun set.
6. The psalmist affirms that: "Great is the Lord, and highly to be praised. ...
The Lord is near to all who call on Him. To all who call on Him in truth (without guile)." (145:3, 18). Most times, we are so engrossed in the burdens of life that we are lost spiritually and physically and forget God entirely. David was in this bleak situation, and he was able to look up to God his helper and burden bearer.
God is able to lift us out of the worst or dead situation, because of who He is - His greatness is unfathomable. He does great and mighty acts over many generations. He is full of glorious splendour and majesty. He performs wonderful and awesome acts. He is righteous, gracious, compassionate, patient, and loving. His kingdom is everlasting. He is the source of our daily needs. In all his dealings with us, he is ever so near to all those who seek and call upon his name. He hears our cries and he stretches out his arms to welcome us.
In actual fact, God does not really need our praise and gratitude, but we have to praise him. When we habitat his presence, we are able to drink from the joy of His infinite love and rejoice in the One who came to redeem and restore us into fellowship with God the Father. For, in the presence of God, there is fullness of joy and at his right hand there are pleasures for evermore (16:11).
Therefore, are you reading this, and you are heavily weighed down by a burden of care and it seems no one cares, and no help is not forthcoming. Jesus Christ, the burden bearer, our helper, and the lifter of our heads cares and is calling to you to lean on him and trust him.
Have you surrendered your life to his care and control? Do so now as tomorrow may be too late.

3. Holy Ghost repair my prayer altar and refuel it, in Jesus name.
4. The strongman assigned against my life and destiny, I bind you, I paralyze
your operations in my life and command you to fall to the ground and die,
in Jesus name.
5. Whether the enemy likes it or not, the church is moving forward and higher
and the gates of hell shall not prevail, in Jesus name.
6. Good Shepherd of the nations, after the pandemic, care for the poor and
the need and move the nations forward by your mighty power, in Jesus
