Today’s Reading:

Psalm 89:1-4, 15-18

Jeremiah 28:1-4

Luke 17:1-4.

The Psalmist understands the need for the mercy of God upon our lives and is always asking for His mercy. In Psalm 51 he asked GOD to have mercy upon him according to his loving kindness and according to his faithfulness. He said he would sing of His mercy forever.

In Psalm 89:1. We are blessed by the mercy of the Lord. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 The mercy of God is the free and renewable energy needed every- day to navigate this world. It is there for the asking. Blind Bartimaeus cried for mercy and received his sight: Mark 10:46 -52.

God’s mercy never fails. His mercy is durable and forever sure. No wonder the songwriter says –Let us with a gladsome mind praise the Lord for he is kind for his mercies aye endure ever faithful ever sure. The mercy of God is from everlasting to everlasting. It is great. It is above the heavens. It is abundant. His mercy includes love, peace and joy. The greatest mercy of God is Jesus paying our debt on the cross. In Christ, mercy and truth meet together. Even when we stray, God loves us and yearns for us to repent so He can extend mercy.

The Bible enjoins us to come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16. Today ask for His mercy by confessing your sins and coming to genuine repentance and he will answer your prayers in Jesus' name.

  1. Oh Lord my Father have mercy upon me in the name of Jesus.

  2. Mercy of God overshadows me and my family in the name of Jesus.

  3. Oh Lord my father envelope me and my family with your mercy in the name of Jesus.

  4. Let your mercy oh Lord, fall upon your church in the name of Jesus.

  5. May the Mercy of God continually surround and protect our nation in the name of Jesus.
