Today’s Reading:
Matt. 5: 21-24.
"Therefore, if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there remembers that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift." (vv. 23-24)

This has been much debated, with different views from schools of thought. What is your own view? What is the Biblical view. I sure agree with you that it is so easy to say than to do. Right? Some of us have been victims of circumstances, victims of Parental separation or living separately and the children bear the stress of the random visitation; we watched our mother go through tough times (well our mother couldn’t just leave their homes from the part of Western State in Nigeria that I come from). So, forgiveness takes grace from the Holy Spirit, at least for me.
For years, I and my siblings were bitter against our father and I promised NOT to ever forgive him, but then God has a big assignment for me to lead virtuous women in the church. BUT the condition to work for Him is that I MUST FORGIVE. I cried and argued and after much struggle, I asked the Holy Spirit to help me. And guess what? He did! It was not easy on my part though, but the Holy Spirit helped me to let go.
What is yours? What can’t you let go of? Is it really worth it?
"who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;" (Psalm 103:3). If God can forgive our so many iniquities, why can you not forgive? “To the Lord our God belongeth mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against him”; (Daniel 9:9). Do you remember OUR LORD'S PRAYER? Matt.6: 12-15 says: If you do not forgive, then God will not forgive you of your sins. With forgiveness comes Peace; with forgiveness comes healing; with forgiveness comes breakthrough; with forgiveness comes divine reconciliation to God Almighty.
How often should you forgive?
Luke 17:4 says: "And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him." Mark 11: 25-26; Matt. 18:21-22... forgive seventy times seven. Ahhh, you said. Yes, that is it. Was it easy? NO. Can it be easy? YES, BUT not by your power.
Many people are hurting, and the devil is holding them in bondage because they refused to forgive. Come out of that bondage of slavery and bewitchment. Only JESUS can give you that peace and set you free. DO NOT BE A VICTIM OF HELL FIRE, COME TO JESUS TODAY. LET GO AND LET GOD!
God bless.
