Today’s Readings:
2 Kings 4:42-44
Psalm 145:10-11,15-18
Ephesians 4:1-6
John 6:1-15
A blessed Sunday to you. Have you told God “Thank you” this morning? May His name be exalted in Your life now and forever in Jesus’ name. The readings today display a miracle of abundance. Elisha feeds a hundred people with twenty barley loaves and has some left over. Jesus feeds five thousand with five barley loaves and two fish and has twelve baskets left over. Jesus Christ is the fulfilment of God’s gift of abundant, overflowing favour, blessings and eternal Life. In him, every human need will be met for everyone.
What we need and what Jesus gives us is Bread that will never diminish, His very self (Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity), given for our salvation in the Holy Eucharist. We find the Eucharist at Communion Service when we gather around the table of the Lord, Jesus is broken as the Bread of Life for us. This is the true source of life. This is the True Bread that we are invited to partake of. Often, we take it for granted. Some of us even stay away from receiving it for one reason or the other. But is it from this Bread that the fullness of life comes? The Eucharist is the answer to all our problems. Healing, protection, provision, favour and all our material and spiritual needs have their answers in the Eucharist.
What are you praying for? Admission, academic excellence, financial breakthrough, liberation from addictions, love and happiness in marriage, a good spouse, and fruitfulness in marriage. There is only one answer to all these prayer requests---it is JESUS. The Eucharist is the “source and summit of the Christian life”. When supernatural life flows in you, you will yearn to share it with others. St Paul says that if supernatural life is at work in you, you will:
Bear with others (forgiveness)
Selflessness (not greed)
Patience (not easily angered)
Preserve unity (don’t be an agent of division and malice)
Be a source of peace and goodness.
Consciously seek supernatural life which was given to you in Baptism. Seek it daily in the Scriptures and the Eucharist. When the priest says, “Go in Peace”, carry the supernatural life of grace into the world (your home, neighbourhood, work and business, relationships and interactions) and it will lead you to a daily miracle of abundance.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”
If you said the prayer, Congratulations! Prayerfully look for a living church and report to the resident reverend, pastor or priest.
Prayer:
Lord, give me the abundance of supernatural life.
Lord, free me from selfishness.
Lord, pour your graces into me.
Lord, make me a source of unity.
Lord, spread your life through me.
Lord, may I experience Your fullness of life and enjoy Your miracle of abundance always. Amen.
May Supernatural abundance flow into your life today through Christ our Lord. Amen.
