Today’s Reading:
Galatians 6:1-10 (2)
"Share each other's burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ." (v. 2 NLT)

In our Christian living, we are each responsible to account for our salvation. But anyone more spiritual that wants to correct another living in sin must be careful so as not to fall into the same sin. Paul here reminds us of our Christian responsibility to help others who are burdened by sin or problems, especially in the area of moral or weaknesses (Acts 20:35; Rom. 15:1-3). Carrying each other's burden in this way fulfills Christ's law to love our neighbours as ourselves (Matt. 22:36 40). The result of our being spiritual is in doing good and the good work has reward (vv. 1-10).
He also outlined how to treat other Christians who sinned with love. It is suggested that could be that some of the Galatians were proud of their obedience to the law, or of their spiritual freedom and will power. But then, truly godly people would not be proud of their achievements. Humility resides in godliness (Rom.3:9-20).
Christendom today faces persecution, so it is the responsibility of all Christians to engage in the spiritual struggle of our faith on our knees together. Sharing life's struggles is fundamental to the way we are called to live (v. 2). By genuinely working together through life's challenges we are able to help to strengthen and support ourselves in hard times. The care and affection of Christ expressed towards each other in challenging period draws us closer to ourselves and to Christ. And it shows we are not isolated in our suffering. Sharing in suffering as this also models the life of Christ. Our Saviour Jesus Christ bore our sorrows and griefs (Isa.53:4).
In whatever struggles we find ourselves, be it trials, oppression or persecution, we should know that we are not alone. Our brothers and sisters are interceding for us. Most times also God raises intercessors on our behalf that we may not be aware of. And importantly, Our Redeemer, Jesus Christ is at the right hand of God the Father, interceding for us. When we move together, we are able in Christ to do exploit.
Have you surrendered your life to Jesus Christ! Do so today as tomorrow might be too late.

Prayer:
Father, thank you for your love, care and affection; and for the knowledge that I do not have to walk my life's journey alone because you are nearer than I can imagine, in Jesus name.
Father, arise and take me out of the judgment of darkness, in Jesus name.
Father set your angel in the heavenlies to defend my portions, in Jesus name.
Anything buried by anybody anywhere, that is dragging my family down, lose your power and die, in Jesus name.
Evil days, weeks, months and years shall not stand against me and my family, in Jesus name.
