Today’s Readings:
Acts 6:8-15
Psalm 119:23-24,26-27,29-30
John 6:22-29

Life is too short. It is too short:
To postpone an opportunity to tell someone how you feel about them.
To entertain hatred and envy.
To waste on chasing validation from likes and comments.
To waste on foolish ways of thinking and behaving.
To fail to take your faith and relationship with God seriously.
To bear a grudge and refuse to forgive.
To hang around people with no clear principle, purpose or set of values.
To waste on silly trends and challenges.
To waste on ideas with no eternal value.
Trying to make money at all costs (even your soul).
To try to change someone who has no intention to do so.
To waste on food that cannot last.
To waste on lying to yourself that the world is enough for you.
The truth is that you are here today, and you are gone tomorrow. Decide on your stand with God, your purpose, your confidence in God’s love for you and your march towards eternal glory while you still have time. Anything else, any endeavour which does not factor the possibility of reward and punishment for our thoughts, words, actions and inactions against God and our neighbour is to swim in the lake of delusion. May God grant us wisdom to number our days and live with purpose.
Pray for the peaceful repose of the seven Capuchin friars who lost their lives recently, for their religious and natural families, and also for all departed souls.

To surrender your life to Christ, say this prayer aloud. “Father, I acknowledge my sin against You. I repent and ask for forgiveness, in the name of Jesus. I surrender to the Lordship of Jesus. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, take control of my heart and lead me in Your path of righteousness. Thank you, Lord.”
If you said the prayer, Congratulations! You are welcome to the body of Christ. Prayerfully look for a living church and meet the resident reverend, pastor or priest.
Prayer:
Eternal Father, fill my heart with the Holy Spirit as You did for Saint Stephen. May the word of Christ, which gives life, fill my heart. Make your will my soul’s delight. Fill my lips with the truth and free my soul from evil through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Eternal Father, fill me with the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. Order my steps, guide my utterances, restore my confidence, chase away fear and foolishness. Let my life reflect You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
