LEAP FOR JOY

Today’s Reading:

Luke 1: 39-56

"And it came to pass that when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the baby leapt in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost." (v. 41)



The baby leaping for joy in the womb of Elisabeth, at the salutation of Mary, was a leaping of great expectation, anticipation, a burst of agitation of the promise of the coming Saviour. Isaiah 19:20 says And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a Saviour, and a great one and he shall deliver them." For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Simeon waited for such a day...luke:2: 25 & 34. Also Prophetess Anna too ..luke 2:36-38. All waited for the Promise of a coming Messiah, and they saw him and rejoiced. Our generation is therefore lucky, to know him and also to be carrying the power of God, the Holy Spirit, there is no greater joy than this.


So, may I ask you, why are you fretting? Why are you discouraged? Why are you dismayed? Why are you downcast? Why are your challenges and circumstances weighing you down? Why is your soul cast down? Why are you allowing the situation in your family, life and nation to press you down? Why are you doubting the Word of God? Even when He says to rejoice always (1Thess. 5:16). Also, He says He wishes above all things that we prosper and be in good health, even as our soul prospereth (3John 1:2.). Trust in Him, hold on to His promises. He does not fail. His Words are Yea and Amen. He is not a man that He should lie, neither the Son of man that he should repent. Our earthly wisdom cannot save us, it cannot help us, in fact, it has failed us woefully, events and happening globally has proved this.


Therefore:

  • Leap for joy for Jesus reigns.

  • Leap for joy because He's got the whole world in His hands.

  • Leap for joy because He cares for you.

  • Leap for joy for He is your Lord and Saviour.

  • Leap for joy because He has your back.

  • Leap for joy because He said you should cast your burden on Him.

  • Leap for joy because He's your healer.

  • Leap for joy because He gave us the victory through the Blood, He shed for us on the cross of Calvary.

The man at the beautiful gate leapt for joy in Acts 3:1-9 when he was made whole. I decree into your life today, that you shall leap for joy in Jesus mighty name.

OUR GOD REIGNS! JESUS REIGNS!


And above all, Leap for joy because your name is written in the Book of life. Hallelujah.

Prayer:

  1. Anything inside of me, hindering my Joy, Come out and die, in Jesus name.

  2. O God arise, Let Your mercy overshadow my life, in Jesus name.

  3. Holy Spirit, overshadow my life, in Jesus name.

  4. Give grace to the body of Christ to overcome always, in Jesus name.

  5. O God arise and scatter the plans of the wicked for our nation, in Jesus name.
