Today’s Reading:

Genesis 22:15-18

“I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring, all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.”

(Genesis 22:17-18)

Obeying God attracts blessings and disobeying God attract curses. The gravity of disobeying God can be explained when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. The Bible says, through Adam death came to all men (Romans 5:12). But when you obey God blessings follow. God commanded Abraham to sacrifice his only son to Him. Abraham obeyed God and wanted to sacrifice his only son. In v 18b, the angel that appeared to Abraham said, Because you have obeyed God all the blessings that precede will be yours.

Abraham's blessings were extended to his descendants and all the nations on earth. Some of us are facing curses because of what our forefathers did (they disobeyed God). Abraham, as a father, brings blessings to his children. What are you laying down for yourself and your children? Repent today and obey God (His Commandments), so that, you will be a blessing to yourself and your descendants.

  1. Praise ye the Lord, Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

  2. Praise him for his mighty acts; praise him according to his excellent greatness.

  3. Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

  4. Father cause me to obey your Word as I walk with you.

  5. Every generational curse affecting my life and destiny is destroyed by the Blood of Jesus.

  6. Every sin my ancestors had committed that is affecting my life and destiny, is forgiven by the Blood of Jesus.

  7. God the Father, for every disobedience of my fathers and I, have mercy on me, in Jesus' name.

  8. Lord, in your mercy, unite the body of Christ in Your love and grant them to harmoniously proclaim the Gospel, in Jesus' name.

  9. Thank you for keeping our nation. Lord, in your love and mercy, move the nation forward, in Jesus' name. Amen.
