Today’s Readings:

Psalm 126;

Genesis 23 :1-19; 1

Thessalonians 3:1-5

Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1. We are living in a faithless world, so we need to keep our faith. In truth, with the circumstances surrounding us now, it is tempting to want to lose faith. However, as children of God we must be determined to strengthen our faith so that we will not be affected by what is happening in the world. A lot of events happening now has been foretold in the bible. We must not allow our love and faith in God to wax cold.

Faith means believing something you have not seen. The bible says the just shall live by faith. Jesus admonishes us that we only require faith as little as a mustard seed to be blessed and move mountains. Mathew 17:20. There is a higher faith known as Great faith. This type of faith does not accept NO for an answer. Matthew 15:21-28. It is persistent like Jacob when he wrestled with the Angel and prevailed. Great faith does not worry when the blessing is delayed. He believes that everything is possible because he recognises the awesome power of God.

Romans 10:17, says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. To strengthen your faith then the word of God must dwell in you richly. It must not depart from you. You must meditate on it day and night. Joshua 1:8. The Lord himself is faithful so we must reciprocate his kind gesture by keeping the faith. Beloved it is time for us to ask God to help our unbelief just like the man that got his son cured of demonic attack. Mark 9:14. The healing of the Canaanite woman’s daughter was made possible because of her great faith. Her story is a challenge to us as Christians that we must not give up. Mathew 15:2128. May our faith work for us at all times in Jesus name. Amen.

  1. Oh Lord my father, in your mercy strengthen my faith, in the name of Jesus.

  2. Every spirit of unbelief troubling my spirit I cast you out, in the name of Jesus.

  3. I remove myself and my family from this faithless generation, in the name of Jesus.

  4. Oh Lord in your faithfulness let your blessings overflow, in your church in the name of Jesus.

  5. Powers hindering the movement of your Glory in this nation, Oh Lord remove them, in the name of Jesus Amen.
