The wine supply ran out during the festivities, so Jesus’ mother told him, “They have no more wine.” John 2:3, NLT
There are times when the situation you find yourself looks as if it has no solution. It may be an experience of shame and reproach; at such a time people begin to look for the devils alternative. However, rather than easing off the problems, they ended up compounding it. When that happens, inviting Jesus into such situation can make a lot of difference.
Such was the case in a marriage feast at Cana in Galilee where Jesus turned water to wine. According to the Jewish custom, to run out of wine at a feast was more than embarrassing. It broke the unwritten law of hospitality. Jesus was about to respond to a heartfelt need. It is obvious that the enemies of the host might be waiting to flatter and put him to shame; however, Jesus’ intervention changed the story, salvaged the situation and did something extraordinary. True joy was restored when the one who is the joy of the world intervened.
What is the situation that looks so hopeless to you? You have tried human solution and it seems there is no head way. Jesus will be willing to intervene if you invite Him. He offers perfect solution to a very difficult situation. He is the only one who can do what no man can do. With Him whatever you think you have lost shall be restored. The Lord who made things beautiful again at the marriage feast can also turn things around for you.
Is your life, business or marriage also experiencing stagnancy? Why not invite Jesus today? If you will depend on him; obey His instruction and have an unwavering faith in His word He will put things right for you. Remember, it is not over yet! Those who believe in Jesus but run into situation they cannot understand must continue to trust that He will work in the best way. Like Mary the mother of Jesus, we should submit and allow Him to deal with the problem.
