Some people claim that Christianity is sad because it forbids everything that is fun and pleasurable. This is true only to the extent that what is considered “fun” and “pleasurable” in the eyes of the world are the things that ensure our eternal destruction. Now, you have to understand the following:
There is the right way to do things (this is called MORALITY). With morality, when you choose what is right, you are claiming that the opposite choice is wrong. If you choose to tell the truth, for instance, you are saying that telling a lie is wrong.
There are consequences for every action (this is called JUSTICE). With justice, when you choose an action, you also choose its consequences. For instance, if you choose to eat too much, you also choose to have stomach trouble.
It is because of morality and justice that we can talk about reward and punishment. If your actions can be judged good or evil, then your choices can be deemed praiseworthy or blameworthy. The world does not understand this. For them, freedom, fun and pleasure lie within the domain of irresponsible behaviour.
Here are some very important points for consideration as you make choices and carry on your day:
You have to make a decision if you either wish to live in the old way of sin which is how people lived before, they came to the consciousness of God or we want to embrace new life in Christ by which we love God above all things and our neighbour as ourselves.
If you embrace Christ, you embrace all that comes with Him – goodness, righteousness, truth and freedom from sin.
Those who commit fornication, are impure in the media content they choose to consume, those who have given in to their sinful addictions, those who envy and wish others ill, those who are greedy and selfish are disobedient to God. If you choose to live contrary to Christ’s teaching, you have embraced death and destruction, the lot of those who disobey God.
Carry out an examination of conscience to see if there are things you are doing now that are sinful, but you have normalized.
St John spoke so well about the glory of God that he was surnamed "Chrysostom" which means "Golden-mouthed". Do you use your lips to praise, bless and thank God and your neighbour or do you use them to curse, gossip and pull others down?

Prayer:
Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.
My goodness, and my fortress, my high tower, and my deliverer, my shield, and He in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me.
You are blessed even as you read this. No evil fashioned against you shall prosper. You are blessed beyond a curse in Jesus name.
Power to live in holiness all the days of my life, come upon me now, in Jesus name.
My life shall exhibit the power of God, in Jesus name.
Our heavenly Father, we commit our children, youths and young adults into Your fatherly care, plant in their heart the hunger and thirst for Your love and Word, in Jesus name.
O Lord, increase the power and strength of the ministration of Your word among Your people, in Jesus name.
We frustrate every satanic external influence over our nation, in Jesus name.
