Today's Reading:
Psalm 18:29
"For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I Ieaped over a wall.” (v. 29 AKJV)
Troop and wall represent objects of oppositions in all situations. They both can stop, delay, prevent passage, destroy and waste time, which is a precious thing to their victims. Goliath and the wall of Jericho are both examples of what oppositions represent in the lives of the Israelites in the wilderness against their promised land.
Oppositions do come upon many endeavours in life, no wonder the Bible says in 1Cor16:9 that "For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” A change is inevitable in all endeavours in life, but once one has decided in life to make a change, you must be ready to counter opposition, whether directly or indirectly.
A troop and wall are not respecter of anybody. The only way of victory is for us to do the will of God always, be holy, live a righteous life and keep a good relationship with God. We should not allow the troop and wall of life prevent us from focusing on our God, for He has promised us in Isaiah 43:2 that "When thou passed through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee". Beloved, this is one of the responsibilities of God over us all in the time of opposition. Therefore, again let us do His will at all times to be able to enjoy all the victories He has for us.
