Today’s Reading:

Ps. 31:9-16; Job 13:13-19; Phil. 1:21-30

“For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain” (Phil 1:21)

Nobody prays for trouble but in life we find ourselves in troubles we never bargained for whether the one we caused or permitted by God. If the trouble you are going through is self-inflicted just to turn to God, confess and repent and be sure He will forgive you (Prov. 28:13, I John 1:9). But if God permitted it, you could turn to Him too and ask for strength and grace to scale through, and he should help you to learn through it and come out victoriously. The texts above are pointing to an individual who found himself in trouble. Some of the troubles include:

  • Eye, soul, and Belly are consumed Ps. 31:9

  • Grief, Sighing and Weak bones Ps. 31:10

  • Reproach and Neglect Ps. 31:11

  • Abandonment and being Broken Ps. 31:12

  • Fear, Slander, Evil counsel Ps. 31:13

All these troubles are synonymous to what Job faced and the record of Apostle Paul in the book of Philippians. A turbulent time is characterized with weakness of the body and soul, weeping profusely, fear of unknown, sleeplessness among other terrible things. Are you also in one trouble or the other? There is hope for you.

Let us get a glimpse of solution to troubles from our texts:

  • Rest in God Ps. 31:4

  • Pray until something happen Ps. 31:15-18

  • Fear God and flee iniquities Ps. 31:9

  • Face your trouble and stand on God’s Word.

  • Be rest assured that even if God will not deliver you from the trouble now one day the trouble will leave you and you will reign with Christ.

Take this song with me as we pray Song: Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus…

  1. I stand on God’s promises so I declare that God will trouble everything that troubles me, in Jesus name.

  2. I am coming out of every trouble as one who is more than conqueror, in Jesus name.

  3. Everyone passing through troubles I declare peace, in Jesus name

  4. You power that troubles the Church and the nations you are troubled, in Jesus name

  5. Demons on rampage assigned to trouble the Church of God you are a liar, in Jesus name
