Today's Reading:
Isaiah 6:1-8.
It is possible for a man or woman to be working for God without encountering the Lord. This was the case with Isaiah (Isaiah 6 vs1-8). Before his encounter with the Lord, he was being beclouded with the presence of King Uzziah and before this time his assignment/messages were basically that of woe to this, woe to that. Meaning that until a true child of God has an encounter with God, he/she will just be operating under his/her own permissive will and not the perfect will of God. There will be no meaningful progress and rewards for his/her calling or other endeavours. Anyone without an encounter with God is like a whirlwind without stability. According to Psalm 29:1-11, such an individual will never hear the voice of the Lord.
What we need as believers is the Spirit of the Lord, no wonder in Romans8 vs12-17, the essence of possessing the Spirit of the Lord was revealed to us, in that 'as many that are led by Spirit of God are the sons of God. Nicodemus, a Pharisee, and a ruler of Jews knew the essence of an encounter with the Lord, hence he came to Jesus in the night, to enquire about what he needed to do for a perfect relationship with God, for God to be with him (John3:1-17). Jesus eventually told him what he needed to do to have an encounter with God.
As I conclude, I ask, do you want to have an encounter with God and prosper in life? Then keep a good relationship with God and man. And to make eternity, you need to:
Your repentance from sin is not negotiable.
You must be ‘born again’, that is, you must surrender the lordship of your life to our Lord Jesus Christ.
You must pray always and do away with worldly affairs in order to be able to hear from God.
You always plead for the mercy of God.

Prayer:
Oh God, my father, arise and let me have an encounter with You, in the name of Jesus.
My Father takes away King Uzziah-like situations out of my life, in the name of Jesus.
Fainting spirit assigned to wear me out, at the edge of my miracle and breakthrough, die! by fire, in Jesus name.
Every cloud of darkness over Christian homes, clear away by fire, in the name of Jesus.
Every cloud of darkness over Nigeria, clear away by fire, in the name of Jesus.
