The most difficult part about being a business owner is convincing your clients to buy your goods or pay for your services at the price you have stated. Often, they want to pay far less and expect premium service. After endless attempts to convince them that you are giving them the best price, they tell you that there are others who are willing to provide the services you offer at a cheaper cost. What they do not realise is that they do not trust you and they do not believe that you are deserving of what you are worth.
The Jews did not believe that Jesus was the Messiah and so they demanded a sign. Jesus goes on to give them a better sign than the one they requested: “The only sign (this wicked generation) will be given is the sign of Jonah. For just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation” (Luke 11:30). “The simple message here from our Lord is that we must discover the meaning of the most profound sign ever given and use that as the foundation of all our decisions in life. Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection were not only the source of eternal life, they are also the clearest sign we need as we make all of our decisions in life.”
By his birth, Jesus teaches us humility.
By relying on the generosity of others, he teaches us to depend on divine providence.
By calling his Apostles and disciples, he makes us stakeholders and witnesses to the Gospel.
By his preaching, he calls us to a relationship with our Heavenly Father.
By the miracles he performed, he shows us that God desires our freedom from sin, Satan and death.
Through the life he lived, he teaches us that holiness is possible in everyday situations.
By his Passion and death on the Cross, he teaches us to surrender to the Father's will.
Through His Resurrection, he empowers us to rise from every impossible situation.
By his Ascension, he gives us hope for a better future despite present difficulties.
By sending the Holy Spirit, he inspires our thoughts, words, actions and vocations with a spirit of service and faithfulness.
If we use the “sign” of the Son of Man (his life, death and Resurrection), then we will discern life very differently and make decisions that imitate His selfless sacrifice of love.

Prayer:
I love the Lord because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
May God bless you today, shield you from evil and temptations and grant your good heart's desires beyond your imagination through Christ our Lord.
Lord, thank you for the gift of life, the first sign of hope you give me each day.
Help me to stay close to you all day.
Let my choices and decisions reflect my love for you and for the good of those you place in my life today.
Father, in this fallen world system, guide the path of our children, youths and young adults, in Jesus' name.
Lord, visit Christian damaged or broken marriages with your mercy, your love and the power of reconciliation, in Jesus' name.
Father in your love and mercy, let there be a harmony of purpose within the body of Christ to preach the truth about Jesus Christ, in Jesus' name.
Lord, intervene in the situation of the nations of the world; heal wounds, comfort the sorrowful, and house the homeless, in Jesus' name.
