Today's Reading:
Psalm 47:1- 9
"For God is the king of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of His holiness.” (vv. 7-8)
Our God is a sovereign God who has created the heavens and the earth by His great power. He shall subdue the people (heathen) under our feet. He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom He loved (vv. 2-4). Among other Spiritual blessings, He gives us the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, in the knowledge of Himself. The eyes of understanding being enlightened that we may know what the hope of His calling is, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the Saints is. And what is the exceeding greatness of His power to us-ward, who believe according to the working of His mighty power? These and more can only be for those who seek a perfect relationship with God the owner of the whole universe It was the relationship between God and man that made Jesus reveal the nature of His death, His resurrection and what that represented to His disciples with the intent to send the promise of His Father (God) to them, which is the Holy Spirit that will guide them to all truth, knowledge, and wisdom about the Father (Luke24:44-53).
Believers are to benefit from the goodness of God here on earth and eternity in heaven. All we need to do is to recognise God’s awesomeness over our lives and get closer to Him, by being obedient to His word. By so doing, we shall eat the good of the land, in Jesus name.

Prayer:
Oh God arise and defend your interest in my life, in the name of Jesus.
By Your mercy Oh Lord, give me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of your word, in the name of Jesus.
Revival Fire of God, rain upon me and my household, in Jesus name.
My father let your words prosper in Christian homes in the name of Jesus.
Father Lord, let your goodness overshadow Nigeria in the name of Jesus.
