Today’s Readings:

Ps 72; Job 42:10-17; Luke 8:16-21

God’s compensation is one that covers up for every oppression, deal breaker, heartbreak, sicknesses, losses e.tc that one has experienced. In this world full of unpleasant situations that believers have to face and tackle on a daily basis, the Lord is telling us that he sure has a compensation that will cover up for every time, resources and effort that the challenges of life have taken from us for He cares so much for His own (Isaiah 41:13). In Psalm 17, the Bible says God shall judge us in righteousness, both the poor and the needy. The Lord will reward them with a righteous judgement, save the children of the needy and break into pieces the oppressor. He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass, as showers that water the earth, and He shall redeem their souls from deceit and violence and precious shall their blood be in his sight. The Lord is set to recompense His own in righteousness this year.

Job 42:10 says,’ And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends, also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before. Double honour for your sufferings and waiting is what the Lord is set to do, His compensation to His children is one that will make the world know that He is God.

Things to take seriously as we wait on God’s sure compensation:

  1. Always trusting in God’s ability and promises for we can’t receive from Him in doubt (Heb 11:6)

  2. Know that no matter the oppression, accusations, sickness, lack, the Lord still cares and His reward is waiting for us (psalm 107:9)

  3. Keep praying like Job did before God compensated him and keep praying for people around you (Job 42:10).

  4. Know that some type of challenge you will encounter might look like the end of the road for you but keep trusting.

  5. Know that God can not lie and His promises to you, he will fulfill (Num 23:19).

God’s compensation will:

  • Relieve you of every burden.

  • Will turn your sorrow into dancing

  • Will because of you bring others from the world to Himself.

  • is always a sign of how mindful God is of His children and every detail about their lives.

Do not make the mistake of giving up when His reward is close by.
