Today’s Reading:
Romans 9:6-18
Sovereignty is having supreme jurisdictions, power or and authority over countries and states.
Deuteronomy 3:25 records an event in the life of Moses, when Moses had to beg God to allow him enter into the Promised Land. Without mincing words, Moses was second to none during his lifetime but there was a greater power that compelled him and held him that he needed to get permission to achieve his heart desires.
That same power and authority was what Apostle Paul is trying to introduce to us today. For He alone determines when, how, where he wants his plans established and through who, by who, with who? He is the master architect and the script writer that no one can query or advise. Romance 9:13 'As it is written, Jacob have I loved but Esau have I hated' when they were yet unborn, again v17. Scripture saith unto pharaoh, even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee...
So then it is not of him that willeth ,nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy, to obtain God's mercy is not a result of one’s own merits or righteousness but a result of Christ’s blood, mercy and ruling.

Prayer:
Ask for God's mercy over your life, family, and ministry.
Ask that the blood of Jesus Christ covers all that concerns you, that your dwelling shall be like the land of Goshen.
I reject every form of hardening of the heart (spiritually, physically, and mentally), that in this first month of the year and beyond I reject anything that will make me and my family an enemy of my God.
I reject any form of mistake, physically or spiritually that cannot be corrected, in Jesus name.
I ask that God snatches Nigeria away from evildoers and leaders, in Jesus name.
I ask for an open reward for all my labour, and heaven will plunder all enemies for my sake, after the order of Goshen, in Jesus name.
